The Wicker Well 1637 W. North Ave.

Much Peace EVERYONE!

Come out next THURSDAY the 18th for the 2nd monthly EMPACT Series!!!

This month we are raising funds for the Chicago Delegation to The U.S. Social Forum in Detroit so folks who can’t otherwise afford it can make it to this historic gathering of 15,000+ activists, artists & cultural workers. The process is bringing together Chicagoans across the city & across sectors so folks can get down with building a city that works for everyone. We’re expecting a great crowd!

Live Brasilian music will be provided by Planeta Azul Samba Band, an artistically rich group of Brazilian musicians complimented by the ‘Passistas’ Samba dancers.

And Ang G, Brotha Onaci, David Marques & Scrabblor of the People’s DJs Collective will keep the dance floor hot!

Art, vendors and drink specials too. Please share a $5 donation if you can. 21+ only. Unfortunately this event is not wheelchair accessible. Inquire to road2detroit@gmail.com with questions.

E.M.P.A.C.T.- Everyone’s Music Politics Art and Community Throwdown, is a monthly series that showcases live bands and DJs while fundraising for deserving community groups & not-for-profits. Check our fb group here: http://bit.ly/blMxUC

The goal of E.M.P.A.C.T. is to spread culture, diversity, and knowledge of community issues while providing a common ground for activists, educators, artists, and community organizers to celebrate the commonality of our struggles. Bring some friends & your beautiful self!
